QuickSand is a low dust fast flow diatomaceous earth. It filters down to 2 microns and it can be easily packed into a column without sending small particles up into the air. It can also aid in packing the other adsorbents that are not easy or dusty to pack down by adding a layer of QuickSand on top. This will allow you to pack down other adsorbents that are easily airborne.
